Arancha Goyeneche (Santander, 1967)

Graduate in B.B.A.A., specialising in painting, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Since the nineties she has been carrying out a continuous artistic activity, highlighting individual and collective exhibitions in institutions such as the Instituto Cervantes in Marrakech, (2019), Museo Nacional de Altamira in Santillana del Mar (2018), Museo Genalguacil in Málaga (2017), Palace of the Embarcadero in Santander (2016), CAB in Burgos (2012), Casyc in Santander (2010), DA2 in Salamanca(2008), Barjola Museum in Gijón (2007), MARCO in Vigo (2006), MAS in Santander (2005), Palacio de Revillagigedo in Gijón (2004), la Casa Encendida in Madrid (2003) Fundación Botín (2002). .. As for galleries, he has had numerous individual exhibitions in spaces such as Gema Llamazares Gallery (Gijón 2017), Set Spai d ́Art (Valen- cia 2017), Siboney (Santander, 2014, 2008, 2004, 1998), Espacio Marzana (Bilbao, 2014, 2007), Cánem Gallery (Castellón, 2014, 2006), Vértice Gallery (Oviedo, 2008), Sicart Gallery (Barcelona, 2004), Max Estrella Gallery (Madrid, 2002). His work has also been shown at contemporary art fairs such as VOLTA 15, ARCO, Art Brussels, New Art, Art Frankfurt, Tránsito, Artesantander, Arte Lisboa, Espacio Atlántico, Cuarto público, Artesalamanca, Art Valencia and Estampa.

He has received awards such as XIII Muestra de Arte Joven, Adquisición V Certámen de Artes Plásticas Unicaja, Adquisición XV Premio L ́OREAL, Special Mention in the XV Bienal de Pintura de Zamora, Accesit III Premio Joven de Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Adquisición XI Certamen de pintura de la U.N.E.D, Honorable Mention III Premio ABC de fotografía, finalist in the Ciutat de Palma Antoni Gelabert de Artes Visuales award, among others. She has also been awarded grants by the Provincial Council of Vizcaya (1991), the Government of Cantabria (1992) and the Botín Foundation (2001). More recently, she was awarded the 6th Espai Rambleta Scholarship for Artistic Research and Production for her work ‘Oasis and Desert’.
